From Criticism to Collaboration: Introducing Crowdsourced "Goldprints" for Public Figures
We can use Imagination Activism to inspire billionaires and world leaders to use their superpowers and resources for the highest good.
In a world where criticism of public figures like Bill Gates and Elon Musk seems to be a daily occurrence, it's easy to focus on what these individuals are doing wrong. While holding people accountable for their actions is important, we often forget that these public figures also have the potential to be forces for good. So, what if we could shift our focus from merely criticizing them to proactively helping them chart a better path?
That's where the idea of "Goldprints" comes in.
Goldprints are detailed, actionable plans designed to help public figures leverage their unique strengths and resources to contribute to a Golden Age for humanity.
Think of a Goldprint as a possible theory of change that someone could commit to, which ultimately supports the creation of a collective Golden Age.
By following a Goldprint, a person can achieve a personal Golden Age while contributing to a species-wide transformation. Unfortunately, many powerful individuals often lack the time or the unbiased input needed to reflect on their current path. They may be surrounded by people who won't challenge their decisions, simply because they're on their payroll or aspire to be.
This is where crowd-sourced imagination activism comes in.
By empowering people around the world to create Goldprints for public figures, we increase the likelihood that these influential individuals will reconsider their actions and work more in service of a better future for all.
Instead of demonizing people for not walking what we deem as the right path, we can offer them the opportunity to walk a better one.
Goldprints can provide a roadmap to help public figures navigate the complexities of their positions and use their power for the greater good.
I’m not sure what the first campaign to put Goldprints on the map will look like, but I personally just bought “metaforhumanity.org” to eventually host a Goldprint (or multiple) for how Mark Zuckerberg can use his tremendous resources to increase sovereignty for humans and all living beings.
Imagine a world where platforms exist to create, evolve, discuss, and adapt Goldprints, much like GitHub for software development. These platforms could bring together diverse perspectives to shape and refine the Goldprints, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest insights and needs.
So, as you read this, consider the potential of Goldprints and the role of imagination activism. Whether it's by creating a Goldprint for someone or participating in discussions about how to improve existing ones, you have the power to help usher in a Golden Age for humanity.
Let's shift our focus from pointing out the shortcomings of public figures to supporting them in building a better world.
With crowdsourced Goldprints, humanity can partner far more effectively with the Elons and Gateses of the world to build a Golden Age for all.
This is a really interesting idea. And also a potentially fun (and powerful) design project applying chatgpt to automate some of the inputs for these Goldprints.
I love the comments thus far from Jen and Aaron. To add to this, I would be especially be interested in the Holiday portions of the roadmap or leading up to various Holidays or even seasonal aspects across a year. I am also especially curious about the psychological pitfalls that said figures fall into, and where does community/the public help or hinder that? Very curious!
