How We Can Defeat CBDCs With Meme Warfare
We can unite Democrats, Republicans, and Meme Activists against Central Bank Digital Currencies—an existential threat to our freedoms—by strategically framing them as "$NPCs"
In today's polarized political climate, it's rare to find an issue that can unite people across the spectrum.
However, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs)—which could be an existential threat to all of our most basic freedoms as citizens—could be one such issue.
As a piece of "Open Source Political Strategy," this document aims to provide a framework for Democrats, Republicans, meme activists, and others to join forces in opposition to CBDCs.
You are welcome to take the ideas presented here and adapt or "fork" them to suit your needs.
Leveraging the NPC Meme to Build a Cross-Party Movement
The NPC (Non-Player Character) meme has gained popularity as a tool for social commentary, political polarization, and humor.
By employing the meme's association with mindless conformity and scripted behavior, we can raise awareness about the dangers of CBDCs, which we will refer to as "$NPCs"—aka “Non-Player Currencies.”
Strategies for Utilizing the NPC Meme To Stop CBDCs
1. Rebrand CBDCs as $NPCs
Labeling CBDCs as $NPCs invites curiosity about the connection between digital currencies and the NPC meme.
This association implies that CBDCs threaten freedom and could turn users into predictable, controlled Non-Player Characters lacking intelligence, agency, and free will.
2. Use Ridicule and Humor
Drawing on Saul Alinsky's advice, we can use ridicule and humor to make people feel foolish for trading their freedom for the convenience of CBDCs.
Example usage:
“CBDCs are for NPCs”
“NPCs transact using $NPC with other NPCs.”
“Don’t be an NPC. Don’t let them implement an $NPC.”
“Only NPCs are cool with the push for $NPCs.”
"NPCs are blissfully unaware of how they’re going to use $NPCs to turn us all into NPCs.”
“Only NPCs are willing to trade their freedoms for $NPCs.”
3. Foster A United, Cross-Partisan Front
By highlighting the universal values of freedom, privacy, and individual agency, we can encourage Democrats, Republicans, and meme activists to set aside their differences and collaborate on this issue.
Feel free to directly copy the language I use here to urge Democrats to get smart and take a stance against CBDCs (I mean, $NPCs 😉).
It's important to emphasize that the fight against $NPCs transcends political affiliations and focuses on protecting the rights of all citizens.
4. Create an Inclusive "Us vs. Them" Dynamic
Saul Alinsky recommends creating an "us vs. them" dynamic to unite citizens against a common threat.
This means positioning ourselves as advocates for freedom and sovereignty, standing against the forces that profit from the erosion of individual liberties.
5. Empower People to Be Agents of Change
Inspire people to take action against $NPCs by appealing to their desire to make a difference and be a "Main Character" in this narrative (aka the opposite of an NPC).
Encourage them to use their voices, creativity, and resources to spread awareness and influence policymakers to protect individual freedoms and privacy.
Build something like a Participatory Propaganda Campaign, as I explain here:
Conclusion: We Need To Emphasize That “CBDCs are for NPCs”
The NPC meme offers a powerful and unifying tool to build a cross-party movement against CBDCs (or in our words: $NPCs), which pose a threat to individual freedom and privacy.
By leveraging the meme's associations with conformity and lack of agency (which appeal across the political spectrum), we can create a bipartisan coalition that raises awareness of the dangers of CBDCs and encourages people to fight for their autonomy and humanity.
As an open-source political strategy, this document serves as a starting point for Democrats, Republicans, meme activists, and others to come together, adapt these ideas, and create a united front against the potential threats of CBDCs.
Remember, you are welcome to take these ideas, adapt, or "fork" them to suit your specific needs and goals.
In the end, what matters most is fostering a sense of unity and purpose in defending our individual freedoms and privacy against the encroachment of $NPCs.
By working together (and being smart about memetic warfare), we can create a powerful movement that transcends political divides and safeguards the rights and liberties we all hold dear.
